- How far in advance do I need to make a reservation?
Make your reservation as soon as possible so you’ll be sure to get the party rental you want. Many of our customers reserve weeks or months in advance.
- What areas do you deliver to?
Bounce With Characters are proudly serving Memphis, Shelby county, Germantown, Lakeland, Millington, Arlington, Bartlett, Collierville, and all the small towns in between.
- What does the standard rental include?
All rentals include delivery, set up, take down, removal, and consultation with a trained and experienced team member in advance and on the day of your event. Contact us at anytime if you have questions or concerns.
Real Characters with a performer offer a real treat. Performer will need a place to change after arriving to destination. Performer may require assistance in setting up sound and music. Each event is different however, the performer will do as much or as little as you like. Generally the Character will interact with guest, dance a little, pose for pictures, happy birthday, and provide 10-12 candy bags.
- What ages are appropriate for your equipment?
Ages 2 to adult.
Our characters are great for all ages.
- How many children can fit in the bounce?
In general, most of the standard sized Bounce Houses and Combos can have (6-8) five-year olds. Add a couple more for the larger bounce houses. For older kids, decrease the number of riders. Much of it depends on how excitedly the kids are jumping and being observant of how they are playing together. For safety, have similarly-sized riders jumping at the same time. The standard bounce houses and units with "Kid" in their title are not recommended for adults. However, the interactive, giant slides and larger obstacle courses are great fun for teens and adults. Check the rules printed on the front of each inflatable for details.
- How much space do we need to rent a bounce or slide?
Many of our units require 20' by 20' with 20' clearance all around.
- Where can your equipment be setup?
We can set up our bouncers on paved surfaces, grass, and indoor floors. The area should be free of dirt, rocks, sharp objects, animal droppings, and sand. Sprinkler systems should be shut off and not above ground. Please be ready to inform our crew member of any underground lines such as sprinkler systems as this may interfere with the ability to stake and/or anchor the equipment. Customer assumes responsibility for any damage to underground equipment or landscaping resulting from the installation or use of the equipment. There should be no low hanging tree branches or power lines overhead.
- What are the power requirements?
All equipment requiring electricity should be within 100 feet of a standard residential power (120 volts.) Power cords and extensions are included in the rental price. We recommend a grounded outlet on a dedicated 20-amp circuit breaker to run the blower that keeps the inflatable inflated. We can provide a generator for an additional charge.
- Do we supply water hose for Water Slides?
Water Slides require a water hose (not provided) within range of the setup area. Water should be turned off when the water slide is not being used.
- Who will set up and take down the equipment?
A trained and experienced Bounce with Character team member handles delivery, setup, take down, and removal as part of our rental fee.
- What payment methods may I use?
Final payment on your rental day can be cash, debit card or credit card. We accept MasterCard, VISA, Discover and American Express credit and debit cards. All reservations must be secured with a non-refundable deposit. For orders less than $400, the minimum deposit is $50. For orders of $400 or more, the minimum deposit amount is 25% of the booking. All deposits must be paid prior to delivery--unless agreed to in writing. For deposits paid by charge card, the balances due will be charged to the same card the week of the event. All monies received are non-refundable.
- Can you setup at parks?
[ ] Check with the park for any requirements regarding reservations, possible permits and insurance needs.
[ ] Go to the site and confirm requirements are met for electricity, setup area size and site conditions are appropriate for the items rented. See Onsite Requirements below for details.
[ ] Electricity. Each inflatable ride requires at least one standard 110v outlet within 70 feet of each inflation blower. Though it may be possible to run two blowers off a 20 amp circuit, it is recommended to have only 1 blower per circuit. Even though there may be multiple outlets, they may be on the same circuit thereby sharing that circuit's limited power availability. Play it safe, because if you pop a circuit breaker at a park, there may be no park staff available to reset it during your event. See Power Needed below for more details like requirements for generators if needed.
[ ] Is there a load/unload space available for our truck?
[ ] What is the distance to the site from the load/unload space?
[ ] Can we use anchor stakes? Standard are 18” long while the size used for slides 36” long--both put in at an angle. A sandbag fee may be added if stakes are not allowed.
- Is the equipment supervised?
The rental cost does NOT include an operator unless specified. Customers are to provide adult supervision or, for an additional fee, our crew may be hired to monitor the equipment or supervise the event
- Are your inflatable's safe and clean?
Yes. We use the safest designs made by reputable manufacturers. Each inflatable is cleaned and disinfected between rentals. They are inspected onsite to ensure they are safe and ready.
Characters are inspected and sanitized after each rental.
- Can I book a Real Cartoon character at a restaurant or business?
Yes. However, You will have to speak with the establishment to get permission.
- Does the character arrive to the party already dressed?
No, The performer will need a place to change (bathroom) into the character.
- If my party guest are running late will the character wait around for everyone to get there?
We suggest booking character 1 hour after your party starts to ensure your guest have plenty of time to arrive.
- Does the characters talk?
No, the characters speak by using hand gestures and movements!
- What if my child is scared of the character?
We will not force/pressure your child to play with character. We are respectful of personal space. We will certainly entertain all of the guest to ensure the party is great.
